Starting a new month has always been a pretty exciting time for me. I love the idea that a new start is here and I get to reevaluate my life and my goals. Am I making progress on my goals? Are the goals I’ve set still relevant? If the answer is no, then I get to rethink the goals and see how I can keep improving myself and my life.

For those of you who read my last blog post, you’ll know that my life has been changing a lot. Since those changes, I’ve been thinking about my goals even more. So I figured that this would be a perfect time to write a post here all about my July goals.

Be consistent with my blog and youtube

I feel like I have typed this goal out 100 times and it just never seems to happen. I love writing blog posts and sharing youtube videos but my brain just won’t do it sometimes. Sometimes I’m on a roll with content creation and I can pump out content too much but other times I disappear for months. I wish I knew why I did this so I could sort myself out because creating content is my passion and I just want to be more consistent.

Start writing morning pages again

A couple of years ago, I started writing morning pages. For those of you who don’t know, morning pages are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning. You can literally write about anything and there’s no right or wrong way to do them. Back when I used to do this, I found that my head was much clearer when going into the day. So, here’s hoping that I can make them work for me again. I have a new journal ready for me and everything.

Play a game that isn’t Animal Crossing

At this point in my life, I think I’m addicted to Animal Crossing. I was going to say play something that isn’t Animal Crossing: new Horizons, but I recently found my 3DS so now I can play New Leaf too. But, no! I will no longer ignore my gaming backlog. All those unplayed games can stop judging me because I am finally going to play some of them. Of course, I’ll still be playing Animal Crossing too though.

Start saving money

If you know me in person, then you’ll know that I just can’t stop myself from spending money. If I have money in my purse or I know that there’s money in my bank account then it’s going to be on my mind until I spend it. I’m usually not too fussed about this but life is different now so it’s time to put on my adult pants and actually look after my money and make financially smarter decisions. Sounds boring but needs to be done.

My goals for July aren’t too complicated but I figured that life is complicated enough for me and a lot of other people too. So, why make it more complicated?!

What are your goals for July? Also, I’m curious how you set your goals. Do you make mini goals that will work towards a huge life goal or do you just make goals that will get you through the month? There’s no right or wrong way to set goals but it would be interesting to know.

I have that same trouble with creativity on my blog. Sometimes I’m just writing so much I don’t realise how many hours I’ve spent doing it and at other times it’s like I sit at the computer and my mind goes blank.
I hadn’t heard of morning pages, I have to try that, interesting, hopefully it will work for you. And I hope you achieve all your goals and feel better 🙂 ❤

My main goal is to keep applying to jobs and clean out my computer. To set my goals, I have my big goals for the year, broken down into seasonal goals and a habit tracker to stay on top of it all!

I haven’t written a list of goals in such a long time! I really should though because there are things I want to get done this month. I remember reading about morning pages somewhere but never tried it, I think I might try doing that to see what my morning thoughts are. haha ♥
