How have I already been learning to crochet for one month?! I feel like only a few days ago I decided to head out to buy some yarn and crochet hooks.
But anyway, it’s been a month and it’s definitely been an interesting and fun month.

I’ve learned quite a bit during my month of crocheting, but I feel like I still didn’t get much made.
My skills have definitely improved. I have learned all about different stitches and I feel confident doing them now, but oh my, I didn’t think it would take so long to complete one project.
So far in my journey, I’ve made many granny squares and scarf for my plush. It doesn’t feel like anything is completed though.
The one thing that I’m actually happy with is a water bottle holder that I’ve been working on. I started making it at the start of my crochet journey and I’m finally at a point where I think I’m okay with it. It’s not perfect but it’s my first finished crochet project so I’m happy with myself.
I’m at a weird phase in my learning crochet journey where I feel I don’t trust my own skills. I can see things coming together but I keep telling myself that I’m doing everything wrong. I’m not sure if this is a normal issue when learning a new skill or if it’s just a me thing but I figured it’s worth mentioning anyway.
I have quite a few projects on the go at the moment. I’m currently working on making a blanket, a tote bag and lots of granny squares that will probably be turned into another huge blanket. I think I just like making blankets..
I’m so happy with myself for not quitting this. If you’re looking for a reason no to give up on something, then this post is your reason!
