Intentional living is all about making purposeful and deliberate choices that allow you to focus on what you want and work towards that. It means investing your resources into the things that matter to you the most.

One of the most important resources we have in this life is time.
So, here are a few ways that you can be more intentional with your time.
Free up some time in your calendar and schedule
One of the first things you need to learn when trying to be intentional with your time is how to say no. You don’t need to accept every single invite or opportunity that comes along. If you are invited to an event that you have no interest in then it’s okay to say no. Learning to say no can be hard at first, particularly if you tend to be a people pleaser. Over time though, it’ll become easier and you’ll notice more time in your schedule for the things that actually matter to you.
Decide what matters to you
Speaking of what actually matters, knowing what you want to do and what you want to fill your time with is essential when it comes to spending your time intentionally. Make sure that the things you are prioritising are the things that line with your goals and things you want to focus on.
Question your weekly commitments
Why are you doing this every single week? Is this worth your time? Is this commitment even something that needs to be done? It’s worth considering these things when looking over your calendar. Filling up your time with the unimportant stuff means less time for the things that matter most.
Make time for rest
No matter how busy your schedule is, it’s important to take some time out for yourself to rest. How much rest time you have will differ depending on your day or how much rest you need. Resting doesn’t need to be taking a nap. It could be sitting down for 5 minutes with a cup of tea, reading a chapter of a book on your lunch break or taking a walk in nature.
