My Animal Crossing: New Horizons Daily Checklist

The best thing about Animal Crossing: New Horizons is that there’s something new to do every day. As well as those new tasks, you can complete some daily checklist tasks. These tasks will help you make the most of my time on your island. Many of these tasks can be completed everyday so it’s pretty easy to create a routine out of these.

You don’t have to do all of these everyday because you’ll find that some of these work well for your island well but others just don’t work for you. That’s why I love Animal Crossing though. Everyone plays for them and you can play at your own pace. It’s just such a calming game.

Roald Dahl Quotes To Get You Through The Day

I’m pretty sure everyone knows Roald Dahl at this point. You have probably even come across some of his work whether it was by reading his books or just walking past them in the book shops. I’m pretty sure he is most famous for writing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and The BFG, as well as other short stories and children’s books.

He definitely did leave us with some grate tales from his imagination that helped us fuel our own, but he also taught us some very important lessons about life through his work.

The Most Magical Quotes From Frozen II

I am literally not able to get over the fact that Frozen II has been out for about two months at this point. Frozen II was realised in the UK on the 22nd of November, 2019 and I didn’t actually watch it until the 26th of November, 2019. That wait nearly killed me!

Since Frozen II’s release, I have watched it quite a few times in the cinema and I would happily watch it even more. Since I’m still not over how great it was, I thought I would share some of my favourite and most magical Frozen II quotes here on my blog.

Since the album is completely relatable, I thought I would share some of my favourite lyrics from the album so that we can all use them to express how we are feeling from now on…

Apps I Can’t Get Enough Of

Everyday, I think about how great phones are and everything that we are able to do because of them. There are days that I am sick of my phone and want to dump it in the bin but that’s a whole different story. For the most part, I love my phone and I’m very attached to it.

My phone is a huge part of my life and what I do. As you know, my dream is to be a full time blogger or to work with social media. Which means that I spend a lot of time on my phone. I just can’t be without it.

WordPress

As you probably know, I blog through WordPress. That means that WordPress is the most important app that I can have. It’s useful for just checking on my stats throughout the day or writing some notes or a quick draft for a blog post.

Unfold

I use Instagram Stories a lot more than uploading to my Instagram feed. I find posting to my feed is just too much commitment. Maybe that’s why I enjoy using stories more. But don’t get me wrong, I still want my stories to look good which is why I use Unfold. It’s easy to use and helps to create pretty stories.

Wunderlist

If you love lists as much as I do then you’ll love this app. You can create lists for all kind of things. You can even set reminders so that you never forget anything.

VSCO

This is my favourite app for editing photos. You can add filters, make your photos brighter or adjust the colour of photos. I find that it’s such an easy app to use and I’m definitely addicted to it. I use it to edit every single photo I take.

A Month With My 6th Gen iPad

It’s been a whole month since I bought my latest piece of technology and I’m still obsessed.

It’s all down to a Sky TV advert really. They were advertising the new iPad super cheap on TV so Simon and I knew that we had to get one each.

I bought the Gold 6th Gen iPad (9.7″) and I love it. It’s cheap and cheerful and great for blogging.

When I first got the iPad, air was shocked at how heavy it was. I think that was because I was used to using a MacBook Air though. Over time, I got used to the iPad being heavier and I don’t even notice it anymore.

The gold colour on the back of the iPad is absolutely stunning. It’s shiny and pretty and I just love it. It makes me feel classy for using it.

My absolute favourite thing about this iPad is that it is compatible with the Apple Pencil. I’m going to do so much drawing hen I eventually get the money to start drawing and get a pencil.

There are two things that I’m not a huge fan of though. The first one is the camera and then second is the keyboard.

The camera quality is pretty poor but I suppose that you don’t really buy an iPad for taking photos and doing photography.

The keyboard has to be Bluetooth as it doesn’t connect to a normal Apple Keyboard. I suppose on the plus side of this, the keyboard will be a lot cheaper and I could probably pick up a good one on eBay.

My favourite thing to do on this iPad is play games. Why are games so much more fun on a big screen?!

Have you ever tried the iPad 6th gen? If you have, let me know what you think of it.

Top 5 Animation Shows

I love animations. I don’t watch much tv but when I do it’s probably an animation show.

I wanted to talk a little bit about my top cartoons/animations. I thought it would be fun for you to find some to watch too through my recommendations.

Gravity Falls

This is definitely my absolutely favourite animation show. It follows the story of Mable and Dipper who go to stay with their Uncle Stan for the summer. They get up to all kinds of crazy things and they discover that Gravity Falls is not normal at all.

Mable is the cutest character ever and I would love to cosplay her one day. She has an adorable fashion sense and is super kind and funny. Uncle Stan is grumpy which brings a lot of humour to the show. Dipper is funny too but in a completely different way to Uncle Stan.

Hilda

I only started this show a few months ago but I’ve already watched it all… twice. Hilda, a fearless blue-haired girl, travels from a wilderness full of elves and giants to a bustling city packed with new friends and mysterious creatures. We follow her adventures and it’s just so fun.

Steven Universe

‘Weeeeee… are the crystal gems….’ But anyway, I adore this show. The animations are adorable and everyone can relate to a different character in some kind of way. I’m definitely a combo of Steven and Amethyst but maybe with a bit more Amethyst.

The Crystal Gems are a group of magical bearings who’s job is to save the universe. They have a half magical being called Steven who is like the little brother of the group.

Aggretsuko

I finished season one of this show just the other day and I loved it. With each episode only being 15 minutes long, it made the show easier to digest which was good for my short attention span.

Aggretsuko follows Retsuko ass she deals with her accounting day job and her horrible boss by singing heavy metal karaoke.

She-Ra

Now, I wasn’t sure if I should include this show in my list as I only just started it but it was so much fun during the first few episodes so I wanted to include it.

She-Ra, Princess of Power, leads a rebellion to free her land of Etheria from the monstorus invaders the Horde. My favourite character is Glimmer and she is fun and adorable.

What’s your favourite animation show?

Aggretsuko Season One Review (Spoilers)

I literally had no idea that I would love a cutesy/death-metal show as much as I did. But anyway, let’s review the show.

Each episode of the show is only 15-minutes long which is great because it can keep my attention all the way though and it is easy to binge watch.

Retsuko is a red panda who started her accounting job with high hopes and positivity. Now that she has worked there for a while, the spark has gone and she isn’t feeling so great about her job. After a hard day of work, Retsuko going to sing death metal karaoke. However, no one knows about this, not even her friends from work.

While she sings karaoke death metal, she sings all about how much she hates her boss. Mr. Ton is at pig who serves as the series’ primary antagonist, and while he makes for an appropriately awful representation of the worst kind of boss it makes the show that little bit funnier.

As the show goes on, Retsuko finds hope as she sees chances of leaving her job, love and friendship.

I watched the show in English but I wish I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles as someone else has said that it’s the better way to do it.

For literally all of the show, I was glued to the screen. I loved the friendship that developed between Washimi and Gori. They are two of the office’s most awesome ladies and even though they didn’t seem approachable at first, the three of them made a great friendship group.

Another thing that I loved was that even though Retsuko’s life seemed to be a little rubbish, she still had positive things happen to her. She started yoga, made new friends and even found romance.

The season ended with the possibility of romance between Retsuko and Haida, Retsuko’s hyena coworker. They seems like a super cute couple which warms my heart.

Aggretsuko is an excellent series that anyone who loves good comedy and great characters can enjoy, even if they’re not necessarily an anime fan.

What I’ve Been Playing ♡ March 2019

I asked on Twitter for people to link me to their blogs. Someone who did that was the lovely Nikki from nikkipedia. I had never read her blog before but it was absolutely fabulous. Definitely a new favourite blogger.

But anyway, I got an idea while reading her blog. Every month (if I remember), I will write a roundup post of everything I’ve been playing recently. Whether it’s a app game, computer game, DS game or xbox game, I’ll include it in my roudup post.

I’m hoping that these posts will encourage you all to discover new games that you wouldn’t have ever thought of playing!

So… here’s the March edition of What I’ve Been Playing..!

Minecraft

I started playing Minecraft around 6/7 years ago. I would stay up late into the night and early hours of the morning just mining and building things. However, I stopped playing for a couple of months until Simon bought me a copy for the Nintendo Switch from Christmas last year. Now, I’m addicted again. I recently just built a cinema which looks so cool!

Disney’s Magic Kingdoms

I play this game on my iPhone and it’s so much fun and so addictive. I seem to be checking it at least five times a day if not more. If you haven’t heard of it then it’s basically a game where you get to build and run your own Disney park. It’s great fun for any Disney fan.

Crash Bandicoot N’sane Trilogy

I was so happy when this game was released that I bought it as soon as I could. However, it is so much more difficult than it was when I was a kid. I struggle with it a lot but at the same time, it’s so much fun. I seem to be stuck on a certain level though so every now and then, I head back onto the game and attempt the level again. Each time, I get a little further but it’s so frustrating that I can’t do it.

What have you been playing lately? Any games that you recommend that I check out?

Why You Should Watch Hilda If You Like Gravity Falls

If you know me then you’ll know that I love Gravity Falls. Sadly, I’ve watched all of Gravity Falls a lot of times now so I’m always on the hunt for similar things to watch.

I was scrolling though the internet when I noticed a show that was similar to Gravity Falls. That show is called Hilda!

I decided to throw myself into the show without watching the trailer because I feel like trailers often ruin a show for me.

Hilda is based off the graphic novel series by Luke Pearson. Both the graphic novels and the show follow the story of Hilda; a fearless girl who lives with her mum and her pet Deerfox names Twig. Hilda and her family lived in a forest cabin. That is until certain events happen which force Hilda and her mom and a little elf named Aulfur to move to the city of Trolberg and the show follows Hilda as she learns to adapt to city life, meet new friends and discovers all sorts of weird and mysterious things along the way.

Sound familiar? If you’re getting Gravity Falls vibes I do not blame you!

Hilda is being compare to Gravity Falls by many. Hilda herself is in a way, a mix of Dipper and Mabel. She has Dipper’s interests in the wilderness and the unknown. She also gets along with people and has a personality that is just like Mabel’s when it comes to being caring to others.

But as you all know, Hilda is a whole other show and sometimes I feel like I shouldn’t be comparing all shows to Gravity Falls. While it is nice to compare the showers, I feel like you should watch tv shows as if Gravity Falls never existed.

Not only does Hilda have great characters but it’s visually breathtaking. The animation flows beautifuly, the backgrounds are stunning and the scenery is perfect.

Hilda has me sat watching with a huge grin on my face. Hilda’s humour is pretty straight up and sophisticated. The humour is very ‘British’. The show is absolutely full of tea jokes.

Out of all the animation shows that I have watched thanks to Gravity Falls, Hilda is a person favourite. It is even pretty close competition with Gravity Falls for my all time favourite animation show. It’s full of nostalgia, pretty visuals, fun characters and amazing stories to top it off.

If you’re in need of something to watch and you’ve already watched Gravity Falls, I definitely recommend that you check out Hilda. It is worth watching even if you didn’t like/haven’t seen Gravity Falls.
