It’s my 25th birthday today! And what better way to celebrate a birthday than by talking about the things we are grateful for?
Practising gratitude is a great way to help you feel happier in life. I often forget to look on the more positive side and I’m sure many others do too. Life can get in the way and we forget to take a moment to appreciate everything we have.
However, today is my birthday so it’s the perfect time for me to reflect on all the things I’m grateful for.

Life can be tough so it’s important to enjoy the little moments that bring us happiness.
I’ve seen a lot of talk online about romanticising your life and honestly, I’m here for it. I love the idea of taking the most basic and usually boring parts of your day and embracing them.
“It’s been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.” – Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables.
If you’re looking to make your everyday life a little more romantic and beautiful, here are a few things that you can try…

There’s often a lot of joy to be found in the smallest and simples parts of everyday. Sometimes it can be hard to see the happy parts of daily living because we are all so busy just trying to get through the day. Life can feel repetitive and rubbish, but if you really think about it, you might be able to find some beauty in parts of your day that you wouldn’t usually think about.
Since finding the beauty in everyday life can be harder for some people, I decided to post a list of a few little ideas to help inspire you..

I know that 2020 really hasn’t been a great year for most people, but that doesn’t mean that it’s all doom and gloom.
Sometimes you might have to search pretty hard for something to be grateful for but there will always be something. Even when you feel like your day is going terribly, there’s still something to be grateful for.
When you really think about it, there is so much we have to be grateful for. Here are 100 of those things.

When 2020 started, I felt like it was a fresh start with a whole bunch of new possibilities. Little did I know, 2020 had a different idea for all of us. This year just really hasn’t been too kind. However, I have decided to look back over the whole 2020/lockdown experience in a more positive way to see what good things have happened so far this year.
So yeah, let’s throw on our positive pants and think about what we are grateful for…

“It’s not a bad idea to occasionally spend a little time thinking about things you take for granted. Plain everyday things.” – Evan Davis
Teenage years are hard. If I think back to my teenage years, I wince a little at the thought of it all. There’s the difficulty of learning who you are, making friends and dealing with school. Plus, it’s the time in life where your hormones are going crazy, but I won’t even get started on that.
However, there’s parts I miss about my teenage years too and some of those things make me wish that I appreciated those moments so much more while I had the chance.
Time is something that you can never get back. I’ll never be able to go back to my teenage years and experience those moments and things again, but that doesn’t mean I can’t take the life lessons and incorporate them into my daily life now. It also doesn’t mean that I can’t share my thought for current teens to read in the hopes that it helps them appreciate things things now.

For as long as I can remember, Autumn has been my absolute favourite season. The colors, the holidays, the changes – it’s all so magical to me.
Just like most people, I don’t look at life and be grateful for the small things. So, that is why I’m writing this post. It’s nearly Autumn and people get down about the warmer weather going so how about we all try to look at the good things about Autumn..
Orange and mustard colours are everywhere
I absolutely love the colours orange and mustard yellow. They are beautiful and warm. By filling your home with those colours, it gives off a warm and welcoming vibe. By dressing in oranges and mustards, you will look warmer and it will bring a little more colour to your face.
You can cosy up by the fire
Fireplaces are absolutely beautiful to me. You can get them in all different shapes and styles so you can fit it to match your home perfectly. There is nothing more exciting to me than grabbing a comfy chair or beanbag and sitting in front of the fire in the evenings. You could even bring a good book along.
School supplies fill store shelves
It’s been a while since I was in school, but that doesn’t stop me from loving stationery. I love notebooks, pencils, pens and novelty erasers. I love anything that I can be creative with. That is why, even though school is way in my past, I get so excited about a new school year.
Pumpkin spice smells in the air
You know that Autumn has well and truly hit once you start smelling those lovely pumpkin spice smells. The smells fill the air and pumpkin spice lattes come out. Autumn is filled with distinguishing scents and they fill my nose with happiness.
Leaves crackling underfoot
If you love Autumn, you probably get excited by the sound of leaves crackling under your feet when you walk down the street. It’s literally one my favourite sounds ever. It’s funny because I’ve actually started to seek out the leaves. I will purposely walk where the leaves are crispier. Walking through leaves is one of the best Autumn activities there is.
I always knew that I loved Autumn but I didn’t know that I was such a huge fan until I started writing this post. Is Autumn your favourite season? What do you love most about Autumn?
While I was busy writing my last post, I realised that I actually really enjoy writing about myself. I know that sounds selfish but this is MY blog so I guess if I want to make it more about me then that’s okay.
