7 Ways To Live A More Intentional Life

In today’s busy world, it’s not surprising that more and more people are turning to slow and intentional living. No one wants to be living a chaotic and stressful life.

What is intentional living?

Essentially, intentional living is a lifestyle that allows you to focus on what you want and work towards that. Through intentional living, we can define our goals, work on our priorities and live slowly.

Intentional living helps us live life rather than life just happening to us.

How to live more intentionally?

Do you need to be a minimalist to declutter?

I’ve been decluttering a lot recently. My home was rapidly becoming a place of clutter which was negatively impacting my mental health.

My home no longer felt like my safe space and began to add to the stress of daily life. Instead of walking through the front door and feeling ready to relax, I felt like I still had so much to do because my home was in chaos.

Enough was enough, I needed to do something about it!

This is when I discovered minimalism and decluttering. I’d watched hundreds (yes hundreds) of YouTube videos all about how owning less can improve your mental health and wellbeing. A repeated theme in as lot of the videos I watched was productivity and slow living. Those are two things that I value in my life too so I figured, why not become a minimalist?

Well, I’ll tell you why; I like stuff. I enjoy collecting things, especially books and plushes. I love having physical copy of photographs to flick through. I want to be surrounded by beautiful things.

So that ruled out being a minimalist for me.

But does that mean that I couldn’t embrace decluttering into my life? Absolutely not!

The Habit Tracking App That Keeps Me Motivated ♡ Streaks App Review

I came across this app by accident. I wasn’t looking for a new way to track my habits or even create new and better habits, but finding this app was such a happy accident.

I’ve tracked my habits on and off for many years now. Habit tracking has motivated me and kept me going through many hard parts of my life. But my issue with habit tracking is that it always felt like an extra task that I had to go out of my way to complete. This is why I’m grateful for my happy accident with the Streaks app.

While watching a YouTube video about the best apps for an Apple Watch, I heard about Streaks. I can’t remember which Youtuber it was but they were saying about how easy it is to use and how it being on your Apple Watch just makes habit tracking so simple.

Well, I was hooked on the idea from there.

I headed over to the App Store and sure enough, it was there and it was pretty cheap too. I’m not usually one to pay for apps when I can find a similar app for free, but I took a gamble and I’m glad that I did.

Getting Ahead For Christmas and Planning In September

I know what you’re thinking… it’s only September, why am I already chatting about Christmas..? Well, my friends, Christmas is only 3 months away and whether you like it or not, it’ll be here before you know it.

Suddenly it’ll be December and you’ll be rushing around the shops trying to get those last-minute gifts and worrying about whether or not you’ve got enough food and drinks. And that is exactly why I’ve decided that September is the perfect time to start planning for Christmas!

I love Christmas. I look forward to watching all the cosy Christmas films, singing cheesy songs, and eating so much food that you feel like you’ll burst. I know that it’s just one day of the year, but honestly, life is way too hard to not say “f**k it!” and have the greatest day ever.

In saying that, I know that Christmas can be a stressful and chaotic time of year, so let’s get planning now to make it easier.
